About the Villa:

Monkey Hill is a luxury rental villa situated in the parish of St James on the exclusive West Coast of Barbados. The elegant, sprawling eight-bedroom property sits on nearly 2 acres of undulating land on one of the few ridge front lots within the exclusive Sugar Hill Community. Monkey Hill is around 8,000 sq. ft. and offers its guests a unique blend of indoor and outdoor living.

Almost every part of the villa enjoys wonderful views of the North Atlantic Ocean, giving spectacular sights of the sunset and island life, making your stay at Monkey Hill an unforgettable one.

Monkey Hill is the perfect location for family holidays, entertaining, idyllic romantic breaks and golfing trips. Its prestigious surroundings provide everything you need for flawless events and celebrations with personnel, butlers, chefs and housekeeping services available upon request.

The Bedrooms:

Monkey Hill has 8 en-suite bedrooms. 6 are located in the main house and 2 are in the cottage.

Main House Upstairs:

Junior Master Suite – Silverback Suite, with a King size bed, balcony and Media room. Reef Room, and the Alligator Room have Queen beds.

Main House Downstairs:

Master Suite – Coral Suite, with a King size bed and walk in wardrobe and a patio garden with sitting area. Turtle Room and the Seahorse Room have Queen beds and patio areas with seating.

Dining, Communal Areas And The Pool:

The dining room is situated adjacent to the kitchen and living room and offers excellent entertaining possibilities with direct access to the outdoor terrace.

The stylish kitchen features all high end appliances, breakfast bar and counter tops of granite throughout. Separate access is provided for services as well as powder room, laundry and storage for housekeeping.

Monkey Hill has an extensive pool deck with infinity swimming pool and outdoor dining under a charming gazebo – like setting.

The Cottage:

The Cottage provides two further bedrooms at Monkey Hill; the White Room and Oak Room. They both have twin beds and their own en suite bathrooms.  The Cottage itself is a self contained unit with its own kitchen, WiFi, TV, living area and garden with outside seating and delightful views of the Island flora. 

The White and Oak bedrooms, located in the cottage. have twin beds that can be made up separately or as a king size bed. The cottage has it’s own separate garden area.

Staff: for all bookings:

A Cook/Chef and housekeeper will be included.

Housekeeper / Laundress generally work 6 days per week from 9:00am – 5:00pm. An additional laundress will be provided depending on the level of occupancy.

For Winter:

Cook/Chef and Butler will be included at no additional cost when main house or house and cottage is booked. Based on a 7 night minimum stay in Winter and 14 night minimum at Christmas.

KINDLY SEE BELOW COVID-19 PROTOCOLS FOR SUGAR HILL DEVELOPMENT:

* Temperature checks will be implemeted by security officers upon entry. Anyone with a temperature exceeding 38C will not be able to access the property. As there is only onepoint of entry, there could be delays and persons may be asked to wait in the car parking area to have the checks completed.

*The restaurant office in the clubhouse will be the dedicated quarantine room if needed.

*The gym is open from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm with only 2 persons allowed in at any one time. It’s fresh air only no air conditioning.

*The pools are open, with reduced seating.

*The tennis courts are open and tennis clinics are being offered on Mondays.

*The restaurant will remain closed for the present. 

*The Reception area will remain closed until further notice.

Tides Restaurant: culinary art awaits you at the water’s edge of the Platinum Coast offering the perfect blend of ambience and mouth-watering culinary creations.

First and Second Street: this venue offers a great mix of food, lounging, and party spots. You can visit Piano Bar to sip drinks while listening to lovely singing and piano playing, or if you want something more upbeat visit Elbow Room on Fridays to have a great time. First and Second street have over 6 locations to dine and over 5 spots to lounge/party.

Sunset Crest Property Owners Beach Access: persons who are staying in select Sunset Crest properties have access to the swimming pool and sun bathing deck at The Beach House Restaurant. Members also benefit from direct beach access from the pool deck unto a white sandy beach.

Saturday's farmers market: open every from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Set in the grounds of the historic Holders House, located at Holders Hill, St James and overlooking the beautiful Holders Polo Field, our market is alive with the hum of music and the chatter and banter of locals and visitors alike mingling around the individual stalls filled with arts and crafts or food products such as jams, jellies and chutneys.
